This Highlander Motel postcard is Douglas Smith 89820. The deep colors make this postcard a favorite. A rustic wood facade has been added to the front of the motel rooms but the Highlander Motel is still operating today at 553 West Route 66 in Williams.
This Lane Motel postcard is Colourpicture K6626. It's the Texaco gasoline station that makes this postcard interesting. Once owned by Lane Haydee, the gasoline station has been replaced by another wing of rooms so this downtown motel, which is now a Rodeway Inn, is almost unrecognizable today.
This Beacon Motel postcard is Tichnor 83815. The motel is the classic design where a pair of rooms are placed between a pair of garages. The center building was probably the office and they sold Shell gasoline. The motel has since been converted to storage units.
This Ranch House Motel postcard is Douglas Smith 87213. Many motels, such as the Ranch House, were built of concrete block, a durable and inexpensive, if not aesthetically pleasing, material. I always like the inclusion of small cut-in detail views on postcards.
